I love that there are a lot of options, but that can make it hard to choose too. :) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Different Types of Protein Powders<\/strong><gwmw style=\"display:none;\"><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Different protein supplement shakes use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthline.com\/nutrition\/protein-shakes-weight-loss?fbclid=IwAR1W012GNtUyJ8pcU1ur-zb5SWHwiZdG72Y03znvcBYWx9iQcgtnPy2haAc#TOC_TITLE_HDR_2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">different powders<\/a>. These powders are typically sourced from at least one of the following.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Whey:<\/strong> A protein found in milk. Whey contains essential amino acids, and it is quickly absorbed. <\/li><li><strong>Casein:<\/strong> The other protein found in milk. Casein contains essential amino acids, and it is slowly absorbed. <\/li><li><strong>Hemp:<\/strong> This is high in omega-3 and omega-6 fats, but it is low in the essential amino acid lysine. It is plant-based. <\/li><li><strong>Pea:&nbsp;<\/strong>This protein is low in the non-essential amino acids cystine and methionine. It is plant-based. <\/li><li><strong>Soy:<\/strong> This protein is plant-based, and it contains all essential amino acids. <\/li><li><strong>Rice:<\/strong> This protein is low in the essential amino acid lysine. It is plant-based. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Plant-based protein powders and shakes often combine multiple types of plant-based powders in order to balance out the missing amino acids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can buy shakes pre-made, or you can mix the powder with water on your own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What I Recommend<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I use and love whey protein, and it is what I recommend to most people (unless you can&#8217;t eat products derived from dairy).
