Ana de Armas is really making waves this season, especially with her incredible performance as Marilyn Monroe in “The Blonde.” But here’s the thing—she’s not just sticking to one type of role. She’s also showing off her action chops in films like “No Time to Die”. And in this movie, she’s actually doing her own stunts. Now, you might be wondering, how does she manage that? And more importantly, how does she keep herself healthy and fit?
In this blog post I’ll share with you all I was able to learn about Ana de Armas’ diet and workout routine.
ANA DE ARMAS’ DIET
ANA DOENSM’T STICK TO A STRICT DIET
Ana doesn’t believe in restricting herself when it comes to food. She’s all about savouring her meals and feeling good about it. Food, for her, is a source of happiness, not just fuel.
According to an interview with Elle US, her ultimate comfort meal is a classic Cuban dish of rice and beans topped with a fried egg.
COFFE TO START HER DAY
Ana isn’t really a big fan of mornings, but she enjoys beginning her day with a cup of coffee. In an interview with Vogue US, she admitted, “I’m not really a morning person. I need my coffee and some music.” This simple routine helps her get ready for the day ahead.

ANA EATS LOTS OF FRESH FRUITS AND VEGGIES
Ana finds happiness in food, particularly fresh fruits and veggies. She doesn’t believe in strict diets but focuses on eating healthy foods and she avoids heavily processed foods. And of course, staying hydrated with plenty of water is a must for her.
SHE LIKES TREATS
For Ana, treating herself means grabbing some chocolate and pouring a glass of wine. It’s her way of saying, “Well done!” Why not celebrate achievements with a little sweetness and a sip of something nice?

PILATES
Ana’s a big fan of Pilates. She told Vogue, “I’ve been going to this beautiful Pilates studio very close to my hotel. It’s in this gorgeous old majestic building on the top floor with windows to the river.”
In one of my previous blogs about Pilates I mentioned some of the key benefits of Pilates:
- helps with weight loss
- strengthens your core and muscles
- improves flexibility, mobility and posture
I love Pilates-style workouts because they tend to be more gentle on the body compared to HIIT or heavy lifting. I also prefer the aesthetic look we women can achieve with this type of training, lean and toned without unwanted bulkiness.

DAILY DOSE OF EXERCISE
Ana takes physical fitness seriously. She ensures she gets her workout in at least five days a week, whether it’s part of her role preparation or simply for her personal well-being.
DOES ANA DE ARMS DO CARDIO?
Yes, no matter how busy her schedule gets, Ana still makes time for cardio. If you’re read some of my most popular blog posts, you’ll know by now that I’m a HUGE advocate for cardio, especially low-intensity cardio, like walking. I love low-intensity cardio because it’s easy on the body, almost anyone can do it and it actually helps you lose fat. If you are interested in learning more about how can low-intensity cardio help you lose fat, please read this blog post.
Ana prefers higher-intensity cardio, like running so she tries to fit in a quick run in the morning or evening to keep her heart pumping and her energy up. I personally don’t run that much nowadays because I find it raises my cortisol levels (stress hormone levels) too much but if you don’t have this type of hormonal issues, running is a great radio option as well.

BOXING
Another go-to workout for Ana is boxing. She says it’s a real energy booster and never gets dull. You can mix it up based on how you’re feeling each day, which she loves. Ana finds it super fun and swears it’s an awesome workout.
I also love boxing! I think it’s fun and it’s a great workout for toning your arms and upper body without adding too much muscle. It will give you that slim and toned look and I find it to be super effective. With boxing, I usually notice results after just 2 weeks!
HIIT Workouts
Ana’s also big on high-intensity interval training (HIIT) circuits. When she’s short on time, these workouts are her saving grace, keeping her fit and ready to roll even on the craziest days.
I usually recommend HIIT once or twice per week to my clients. They are a great option if you are short on time (my HIIT workouts are usually around 15min), they burn a lot of calories and they increase your metabolism which is very important for weight loss.

SUMMARY
I like how despite Ana’s busy schedule she still finds time to exercise regularly. I also love that she does both resistance training and cardio because I firmly believe a good, structured routine needs to have both.
Another thing I love about Ana is she doesn’t restrict herself with diet routines but she makes sure she eats healthy and in moderation. I’m such a big fan of her diet philosophy.
